Spud Gun, Potato Gun, Spud Cannon, Potato Cannon, Air Cannon, which ever the name, they all refer to basically the same type of device. These are basically home-built weapons, cannon actually that are constructed from readily available supplies such as PVC, or metal pipe. Their intended use is for Exclusively entertainment, or other positive means. You need to know that in building these things a certain amount of common sense is a MUST HAVE. PVC pipe in it's original intent was never designed to have propane, methane, butane, isobutane, Right Guard, or hair spray ignited inside it. The pressure loads that are exerted on the pipe CAN be dangerous, but for the most part aren't. So just keep in mind, please treat Potato Guns as the weapons that they do have the capability to be.
